On your way to a fireworks show stop by Wade House and celebrate the nation's birth as they did in the 1860's. The traditional reading of the Declaration of Independence takes place from the front porch concluding with a firing in salute of liberty. There will also be crafts to make and take, infantry drills, and ice cream churning (and sampling) in the kitchen among other activities.
