'Culture Under Canvas' comes to Stoughton as Tent Show Radio Live celebrates it's 20th Anniversary with this wonderfully dynamic show! Featuring New York Times best selling author, songwriter, radio show host and amateur pig farmer ~ Michael Perry ~ along with Big Top's Blue Canvas Orchestra and Special Guests. As heard on Wisconsin Public Radio, Tent Show Radio is recorded in front of a live audience ~ that's you! ~ for future broadcast on WPR’s upcoming season! Since 1994, Tent Show Radio is heard every week on listener-supported radio stations across the country, and the world on the Internet. Each week features a different live performance from Big Top Chautauqua’s summer season of concerts and musical productions. Michael Perry is a New York Times bestselling author and humorist from New Auburn, WI. Perry’s bestselling memoirs include Population 485, Truck: A Love Story, Coop, and Visiting Tom. Perry’s essays and nonfiction have appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, Esquire and Runners World, to name a few. He lives with his wife and two daughters in rural Wisconsin, where he serves on the local volunteer fire and rescue service and is an amateur pig farmer. The Blue Canvas Orchestra combines an eclectic and diverse group of musical-misfits is made up with the finest musicians and singers known for their 'big sound'. The BCO is the house band at Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua and perform at the tent throughout the Big Top season and have a vast repertoire of music ranging from original music, comedy, poetry, and historical musicals. bigtop.org
