Chicago Farmer Working-class Folk Musician

The son of an Illinois farming community, singer/songwriter Cody Diekhoff “plays his guitar with a disarming simplicity.” He listened to punk rock and grunge as a kid before discovering Hank Williams, and it was a revelation. Mid-westerner John Prine and folk legend Arlo Guthrie quickly followed. Profoundly inspired by farmer values, his small town roots, tilled with city streets mentality, provide the baseline of his songs.
