Enjoy a performance by the Beloit Janesville Symphony. The event is free, but donations are accepted. Congressman Paul Ryan will join in narration performing Aaron Copland’s patriotic American classic “Lincoln Portrait” with the orchestra. The performance includes The Star Spangled Banner, Die Meistersinger Overture, an Armed Forced medley, Sousa marches, and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, as well as The Mindset Suite: The Things We Hold Dear, with music by Robert Tomaro and text by Ron Nief and Tom McBride, a patriotic work that identifies heroic young soldiers in each of six American conflicts.
