Indigo Girls


In an “Honor the Earth” show with Winona LaDuke and other special guests. We are thrilled to welcome Indigo Girls, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, back to Big Top Chautauqua for a very special performance featuring Native American guest artists and a focus on environmental issues. The Indigo girls are a folk rock music duo known for their strong vocal harmonies and brilliant songwriting as well as for their activism. They have been champions for the environment, gay rights, the rights of Native Americans, and the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. They helped Winona LaDuke establish Honor the Earth, an organization dedicated to creating support and education for native environmental issues. Winona LaDuke (Anishinaabe) is an internationally acclaimed author, orator & activist. A graduate of Harvard & Antioch with advanced degrees in rural economic development, LaDuke has devoted her life to protecting the lands & lifeways of Native communities.
