Kevin Kling’s “Walkin’ Shoes”
Full of humor, music and surprises, Walkin’ Shoes brings Kevin Kling (one of MN’s most significant storytellers) and Dan Chouinard (accordianist, pianist and writer) together for tales of the roads they’ve traveled. Kevin and Dan kindly rely on the “strangeness of others” to inspire stories and songs. Kevin is perhaps best known for his popular commentaries on National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.” His autobiographical tales are as enchanting as they are true to life: hopping freight trains, getting hit by lightning, performing his banned play in Czechoslovakia, growing up in Minnesota, and eating things before knowing what they are. Kevin has a way of describing encounters with surprise and humor; together with Dan they will feature tales from the road on the American journey. Tickets: $22/$11 for students 3-17.
