Low, The Pines, Birds of Chicago
Duluth has spawned some amazing musical talent including “minimalist rock” trio Low who champion a style of music known as “slowcore” (so named for its sometimes glacial, trance-like pace.) Low celebrates its 20thanniversary as a band, during which time they have had their songs covered by Robert Plant and have toured with Radiohead and Wilco. Also on the bill, fellow Duluthians, The Pines, an indie-roots band that produces hip and haunting musical landscapes. And introducing “two of the most compelling new voices in Americana roots music” according to the Chicago Sun-Times, JT Nero and Allison Russell of Birds of Chicago. Fire dancers of The Spin Collective continue the groovy vibe between sets. Hipsters – be there – YOLO! Tickets: All Seats Reserved $28.
