Lucy Kaplansky is an acclaimed New York City based singer-songwriter who began her career at age 18, took some time off to earn a Ph.D. in psychology and soon returned to the stage, where she has (thankfully!) been ever since. Well known on the folk scene and respected among her peers for the imagery and emotion of her lyrics and melodies delivered in her signature harmonies, the nuance, power and texture in Kaplansky's voice are not to be missed. She performs a collection of songs that explore love, and the dark winding road that leads us there. Touring extensively across North America, she reminds audiences why she has been hailed as “a truly gifted performer…full of enchanting songs” (The New Yorker). Ticket prices in advance: $18 for members/$21 for general public; day of show: $21 for members/$25 for general public. Theater doors open at 7pm. Come early and enjoy our galleries.
