Ghoulees in the Coulees
October 24, 2013 - October 26, 2013Coon Valley
Haunted hikes will run on Thur & Fri night, 6-9pm, with the less scary hikes being from 6-7pm. Reservations are required for the half mile hikes through the woods, with hikes leaving every five minutes from the shelter house at Norskedalen. The hikes will end up in the homestead where survivors can test moxie by going through the haunted barn, have some hot cider, listen to ghost stories or have their fortune told. Admission fees apply. For the younger and less adventurous, Sat night, will be the Great Pumpkin Walk. This is the guided pumpkin walk only - no haunting. One of the neatest features of Ghoulees in the Coulees is the 400 carved jack-o-lanterns that line the trail through the woods. This is a nice walk to see all the pumpkins with no worry of goblins or ghoulees - just an evening stroll with lantern light, glowing pumpkins and the sounds of the night woods. Hot cider, storytelling, concessions and treats will be available too!
