Unfortunately the wind we had all weekend pretty much took care of our fall colors. Although the leaves have fallen, it is still a unique time to hike the trails at the area parks. You will see views of the Mississippi River that you would not normally see during the summer. There are still plenty of fall activities to do throughout Octoberl. Be sure to take in the orchards, hike the trails at area parks, enjoy a scenic river cruise, tour the historic sites and much more. The next two weeks will have plenty of spooky things to do....haunted cruises, haunted cave tours, and haunted houses....it is a spootacular time to be in Prairie du Chien. Check out our web site for the events coming up this weekend.

The leaves are past peak. Many of the leaves have fallen. However, the landscape here in the driftless area is beautiful. The bare trees expose the rolling hills and unique rock formations. Take a ride on the many scenic roads. Stop at the orchards and don't forget to come into town for some great shops and food. For more information visit our website at www.richlandchamber.com.

There are still leaves on part of the trees and it is a great blend with those trees that do not have leaves. Lots of rust colors, still some yellows, and still plenty to see.

The fall colors have past their peak for this year in the driftless region. There are still some small patches of colors to enjoy and the oak trees will keep their rust brown leaves over winter. Take the scenic drive to Viroqua and come to our Winter Farmer's Market at Main Street Station in downtown Viroqua. This european-style market is open from 10am - 2pm and has many vendors selling their edible delectables and artisan wares!
