The Vilas County Historical Museum, founded in 1959, offers an extensive collection of historic exhibits and artifacts dating back to the pioneer days of the late 1800's in northern Wisconsin, including the world's first snowmobile.

The museum is located in Sayner, Wisconsin on Highway 155 just 1 block North of Highway N.
