Alma Eagles On Ice

Details

During the months of November through March, the frozen Mississippi River is a perfect venue for bald eagle watching from many locations in Alma, Wisconsin. Located at Lock & Dam #4, the open water from the dam provides great fishing for the eagles and great viewing for you. Dozens of bald eagles can be viewed at one time as they sit on the ice, preparing to fish or eating their catch. Wings Over Alma, a non-profit nature & art center, offers a 50-foot viewing deck just below Lock & Dam #4 with free scopes and binoculars for an up close viewing opportunity.
