Wisconsin has 22,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails — enough to sled from Los Angeles to New York and back three times.

Baraboo Range Snowmobile Tour

Details

The communities of Prairie du Sac and Sauk City are together known as Sauk-Prairie, famous for its resident winter population of bald eagles. For the eagles, open water on the Wisconsin River just below the power station dam is an invitation to go winter fishing. Throughout the winter, you'll see dozens of eagles in the trees that line the river bluffs. The eagles are so popular with tourists that the communities host "Eagle Watching Days" throughout the month of January.
