Cam-Rock County Trails

Cam-Rock County Park may be small, but it has something for everyone when it comes to mountain biking. Sandwiched between the picturesque villages of Cambridge and Rockdale, the park is also a haven for wildlife. Cam-Rock Area 2 is on the tame side of the Rockdale Millpond. Nearly anyone should be able to handle the gentle or moderately steep terrain on its wide cross-country ski trails. En-route you'll pass through a stand of tall Norway pines and skirt the edge of the millpond several times. You'll be in a different world if you take on the challenge of the single-track trail at Cam-Rock Area 3. Designed by members of the local WORBA (Wisconsin Off-Road Bicycling Association) chapter, the trail takes advantage of every bit of tough terrain. With 150 feet of elevation, the single-track sections test all bike-handling skills. The trail snakes up and down; over rocks, roots and fallen trees. It dips in and out of a lovely little glen twice. Forget about cruising and watching the scenery, you'll have to concentrate every second to stay on your bike.
