Cranberry Marsh Tours



Details

One 1-hour tour at 10am each Friday (July 8-Oct. 7, 2011) rain or shine. This free tour starts at the Chamber/Community Center (except for July 29 and Sept. 9 tours, which will be fully conducted at the Vilas Cranberry Co. marsh, 660 Alder Lake Road) for the first half-hour to showcase a short video, literature/photo display, samples of juice & sweetened dried cranberries, prize drawings, and Q&A. Then motorcade in your vehicle to the Vilas Cranberry Co. marsh for an up-close look at the bogs -- growing, blooming or being harvested depending on the time of year you visit. Cranberry Colorama (last Saturday of September) has free shuttle busses from the Community Center to the marsh.

Chamber of Commerce is located at 4 Airport Road and Hwy. 51, one mile south of Hwy. W. Vilas Cranberry Co. marsh at 660 Alder Lake Road (3.5 miles south of the Chamber via Hwy. 51, then west on South Townline Road 2 miles; road veers right and changes to Alder Lake Road, then 1 mile to the marsh)
