Crex Meadows Camping



Details

SEASONAL CAMPING - Camping is permitted at the rest area from September 1 through December 31. This is the only place on Crex where camping is permitted. Tents may be placed on the lawn and camping vehicles may be parked in the corners of the parking lots. Camping is $5 per night and campers must register/pay the fee at the Visitor Center within 24 hours of setting up camp. There are no specific sites, and space is first come, first served. Reservations are not available.

Directions from Nearest Town/Intersection

From Highway 70 in Grantsburg, turn north at the stoplights onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows at the intersection of County Roads D & F.

Hours of Operation

The Visitor Center is open seven days a week, weekdays from 8am-4:30pm and on Saturdays from 9am-5pm. (After November 1, the Visitor Center is open on weekdays only when the WI DNR staff is here.)
