Fennimore Railroad Historical Society Museum


Details

The museum grounds is graced by a 1907 Davenport 2-6-0 locomotive next to a water tank with two spouts. A marker explains the history of this unique, narrow-gauge railroad. A miniature 15-inch gauge train gives rides on weekends, 10am-4pm. Inside the museum, a model railroad layout is a replica of Fennimore at the turn of the century. A museum hi-lite is the famous "Dinky," a 3 foot gauge train that ran from Fennimore to Woodman. The museum displays artifacts of the narrow-gauge era, 1878-1926.Starting with the 2007 season the Railroad Museum will be closed Monday.
