Located in central Sheboygan, beautiful Fountain Park is home not only to fountains, but also to the Civil War Memorial and to the bandshell, site of music concerts on Wednesday and Friday evenings throughout the summer. The mineral fountains attracted people more than 100 years ago because of the "healing" qualities. The 75-ton statue was shipped from Barre, VT, on six flat cars and reassembled. It was unveiled in 1889.
