Now a showpiece at the Rogers Grand Theatres movie complex, the Grand was once the Grand Opera House. It opened in 1895 as a social center for theatre, variety shows, Vaudeville acts, and various local events before its history as a movie theater. Many famous actors graced the Grand’s stage that include Cecil B. DeMille and Gene Autrey. The Grand underwent much restoration in 1999 by the 'Friends of the Grand' preservation group.
