Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, April through October. Stepping into Greunke's is like stepping back into the 40's. The Coca-Cola memorabilia, the working Wurlitzer and old soda fountain counter conjure images reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell cover on the "Saturday Evening Post." Featured foods are: fresh Lake Superior trout & whitefish, fine wines, beer on tap, homemade soups, whitefish livers, a traditional Wisconsin Fish Boil, fresh fruit pies, and strawberry/raspberry shortcake. Or if you are in the mood for something quick, try Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizza To Go, located on First Street next to Greunke's restaurant. Guests can also stay in the historic Greunke's First Street Inn attached to the restaurant. Centrally located, the inn and restaurant are a short walk from the lake, ferry, excursion, pool, shops and most of Bayfield's attractions.
