The Wisconsin State Fair has been canceled only five times, three due to the Civil War, one to WWII, one to Chicago’s Columbian Exposition.

 

Images From The Forest Past


Details

The Phillips Public Library is permanently displaying a prize winning, blue ribbon quilt titled "Images From The Forest Past". The quilt incorporates 15 photographs spanning the history of logging in Price County. Visitors are very welcome. The library also has on permanent loan a large backlit photo of the Fred Smith farm before the downburst which hit Phillips in 1977. The photo hung in the Walker Art Gallery in 1974.
