60 acres within the park (Muskego Park Hardwoods) has been named a State Scientific Area, preserving valuable plant communities, teaching conservation practices and studying the area's natural history. Trails wind through this area giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy it. Facilities include shelters, electricity, parking, water, toilets, volleyball courts, group camp sites, tennis court, swimming beach, hiking, nature study, & x-country skiing. 24 individual camp sites for either tents or rvs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
