Details

The Discovery Center is a community-based environmental education center offering a variety of year-round programs & activities for all ages. Core values include the belief that the acquisition of knowledge and skills is a lifelong undertaking, acheived through active participation in, and appreciation of, the natural world. The 66-acre former YCC camp also includes rustic, dorm-style cabins, main lodge, outdoor amphitheater, stage, fields and interpretive trail. 20 km of easy to moderate hike-bike-classical cross country ski-snowshoe trails along the scenic Manitowish River and around Statehouse Lake in the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest. A Great Wisconsin Birding and Nature Trail site.
