Northern Highland/American Legion State Forest
Covers 223,283 acres in northern Wisconsin including 900 lakes and 18 family campgrounds. A total of 244 bird species frequent the forest - that's 73 percent of all species recorded in Wisconsin. Nesting pairs of bald eagles, osprey and loons are common. It is home to one of the largest Bald Eagle nesting concentrations in the world.
