Northern Kettle Moraine Snowmobile Tour

Imagine 27,500 acres of forest within a two-hour drive of Chicago. That place is the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. When snow blankets its hardwood ridges, the Kettle calls to snowmobilers and cross-country skiers. Farmland, marshes, and the great expanse of Lake Michigan contribute to a memorable tour. Interesting cities and historic towns on or near the route have more attractions than can be enjoyed in one visit. More than 400 miles of funded trails in Ozaukee, Sheboygan and Washington counties offer many side trip options.
