Refurbished Buildings

Details

One need not be a student of architecture, nor of history, to appreciate Downtown Sheboygan's 100-year old buildings that have been renovated and returned to their original splendor. The old carriage factory is now office and retail space, old shoe factories are now loft apartment buildings, a former apothecary is now home to a popular deli with office space on upper floors, and an old iron works building is now a courtyard art gallery. Also preserved are historically significant and very well-maintained government buildings.A short drive to the north are stately homes once owned by community leaders.
