Richard I Bong World War II Heritage Center


Details

Midwest's First World War II Museum honors all WWII participants both at home and on the front lines. Named for Amerca's "Ace of Aces" and Medal of Honor recipient, Major Richard Ira Bong of Poplar, WI. Visitors step back in time as they explore the Twin Ports Harbor during wartime, examine the rise of Nazi Grmany, and travel to the Pacific Theatre where Bong's restored P-38 Lightning "Marge" takes center stage.
