For families looking to take younger children riding, the St. Germain Bike & Hike Trail is ideal with its gentle terrain for easy pedaling. The newly paved trail is 8 miles long, running west along Highway 70 in St. Germain and heading north along Highway C to connect with the Plum Lake Trail near Kurzweil Road. Just west of downtown St. Germain, the trail passes the trailhead for the Awassa Hiking Trails, a great place to stop for a quiet stroll. Ample free parking is available at St. Germain’s Town Park. Trail connects to the Plum Lake Bike Trail and the Boulder Junction Trails.
