Near the south end of the trail, you'll roll through a romantic reconstructed covered bridge; just north of Brodhead pastures dotted with Holsteins line the Trail.
The route also takes you through America's "Little Switzerland." The lovely village of New Glarus, with its unique chalet-style buildings and European charm, anchors the north end of the trail. South of town, New Glarus Woods State Park offers 18 family campsites plus 14 primitive bike camping sites. The park's shady picnic area is a popular start or finish to any ride.
On the Sugar River Trail, you can tour three small town museums: the Swiss Historical Village in New Glarus, the Albany Historical Museum, and the Brodhead Depot Museum. It's a nice end to a very pleasant ride through Green County.
