The Tour of a Lifetime! Ten Chimneys is the National Historic Landmark estate of 20th century Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. Guests are treated to one of the most inspirational house tours in the country. Exclusively docent lead small group tours focus on the stories of the Lunt's lives, their illustrious friends, and of course, their amazing home. Almost all of the estate's beguilingly personal decor and collections are intact and unchanged since the Lunts first assembled them in the 1930s and 40s. Ten Chimneys is simply overflowing with memorabilia; notes from Laurence Oliver and Carol Channing, mementos from Helen Hayes and Noel Coward, inscribed first edition books by Edna Ferber and Alexander Woollcott. For decades, this idyllic retreat inspired the country's finest actors, writers and artists. Now, let it inspire you! Tours open May through mid-November.
