Wolf River Sturgeon Trail / Sturgeon Spawning



Details

Half mile long paved trail along the Wolf River west of New London on Highway X. It’s a great place for fishing or leisurely walks. The Mukwa Wildlife Area is on the opposite side of the road. Also, view Sturgeon up to 6 feet long, spawning for only a couple of days in late March or April after the water temperature has reached 50 degrees. Contact the New London Area Chamber of Commerce by email or phone at 920-982-5822 for updates or to have your name added to a notification list for when they start to spawn.

From New London proceed west on Wolf River Avenue past Riverside Park about a mile and a half on County Highway X. Turn right on Big Eddy Rd. There is also parking near the west end of the trail.
