Round Lake Trail
Great for a truly natural experience. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest while horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking or snowshoeing along this hardwood and hemlock-lined forest trail. The trail is not groomed for cross-country skiing. A historic logging dam and walking trail with interpretive signs are at the site. You can also access the 3,600-acre Round Lake Semi-Primitive/Non-motorized Area from the north end of this trail. A national forest parking pass is required and can be obtained at the trailhead.
From Hwy. 13 in Fifield travel 22 miles east on Hwy 70, go north about 4 miles on Forest Road 144/Shady Knoll Road, east a short distance on Forest Road 535/Boat Landing Rd, then turn north on Forest Road 535A/Logging Dam Rd to the parking area.
