Standing Rocks County Park
This Portage County Park has attracted cross-country and downhill skiers to its slopes and trails for years. The standing rocks are huge glacial erratics, granite boulders rolled here by the continental ice sheet. The view of Bear Lake from the top of the ski hill is thrilling. Slopes include 2 beginner, 1 intermediate, 2 expert runs. Nine-hole disc golf course. During the snow season, contact Standing Rocks park at 715-824-3949.
Hours of Operation
Cross country ski trail are open on a daily basis throughout the snow season. The ski lodge is open weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on the weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tow ropes operate from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the scheduled downhill ski season. Downhill skiing is available every weekend throughout the snow season and weekdays during the Christmas holiday season except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Located south of Hwy B, 5 miles east of Plover.
