Sheboygan County Historical Museum
Museum complex includes stately brick building reflecting Judge David Taylor's career and the era of 1850-1900; the 1864 Weinhold Family Homestead; the 1890's Schuchardt Barn with rural agricultural displays; and the 1867 Bodenstab Cheese Factory with early commercial cheese making. Recent expansion features seasonal displays, traveling exhibits, classrooms, and the museum store. Changing exhibits include Indian history, ice harvesting, maritime, circus, local sports, medical, pharmaceutical, early agriculture and related trades.
Hours of Operation
Apr-Oct: Mon-Fri 10am-5pm. Tours leave the Main Building at 11am, and 1 and 3pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday except for the special events.
I-43 Exit to Hwy 23 East. Exit to Taylor Dr (Watch for museum sign), then onto Erie Ave.
