Kettle Moraine Bicycle Tour
The Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest is famous for mountain biking trails. Two hundred feet of vertical relief makes for exciting and scenic road riding as well. Twisty, rolling back roads will lead you through the quiet towns of Palmyra and Eagle. You can also plan time to visit one of the state's outstanding historic sites. The lifestyles and handiwork of Wisconsin's mid-nineteenth century immigrant pioneers are chronicled in the exceptional collection of buildings at Old World Wisconsin. Crafted with distinct skills and styles from homelands across the sea, many of the structures were saved from destruction by being relocated to this Kettle Moraine setting. The site is a living museum with craft demonstrations daily and special events on nearly every riding season weekend.
