Experience Wisconsin's most authentic German Restaurant and the charming setting of a Country Inn on Germany's famous Romantic Road with that special touch of Gemütlichkeit!
Emulating the country inns of villages and towns in Germany, Weissgerber's Gasthaus opened in 1983, returning Milwaukee residents to a time when the city's best restaurants were German. Upon entering the Gasthaus, guests are transported from the streets of Waukesha to the romantic countryside of Bavaria or Austria.
The bar and biergarten serve modern appetizers and our very own Weissgerber Sausages, perfectly complemented by our house brew and many more outstanding beers and wines. Also home of the Stein Club with over 500 members!
The Dining Room will make you feel at home in Old Germany offering authentic German and American Cuisine at its' best. Enjoy a classic Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry, consider Opa Weissgerber's German specialty take outs for your family celebration and visit our gift shop for imported steins, wine glasses and fine chocolates.
