Upper Mississippi National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

The approximately 12,000 square foot Headquarters and Visitor Center serves as the gateway to the refuge. The facility includes exhibits, a multipurpose room, staff offices and storage. Accessible trails and observation areas provide additional exploration opportunities. Placement of the building maximizes natural light and feature building materials chosen with energy efficiency and the environment in mind. The hands-on exhibits highlight the natural history of the La Crosse District and the refuge.

Mon-Fri: 8am-3:30pm, Sat-Sun: 9:30am-5pm.
