St. Croix Valley Snowmobile Tour

Burnett and Polk counties offer a lot of the things snowmobilers look for in a tour. The long, white trails of Governor Knowles State Forest form their western border. More than 900 lakes dot the two counties. One of Wisconsin's largest marshes - Crex Meadows - is here. The Gandy Dancer State Trail provides a rapid, north/south connector for easy access to services and trail loops. Inviting small towns make for enjoyable stops. Picture-perfect is a good description for the pockets of farmland you'll come across. The woods are no less scenic with mile after mile of forested trail. Polk County boasts 350 miles of trail; and Burnett County has 225 miles.

Click here for a trail map.
