Don't leave without tasting...

Stroll along Whitewater Street as you choose your culinary experience. How about a shrimp poorboy and micro-brew from a patio overlooking the lake? Or Dinner prepared fresh with locally grown product? Did we mention Cake!!!! From our bakery/café? Watch for the ever popular taco truck. After a quick drive into the countryside you can sip a glass of wine among the vines with bread and cheese at our local winery or cool, sparkling, clear artesian water from our Flowing Well. Other local cuisine offers a variety of traditional diners, supper clubs, ethnic food and of course Wisconsin fish fries.

Feeling romantic?

Pack a picnic lunch and head out for a day at the beach or enjoy an outdoor concert by the one of our fountains. Rent a couple of bikes to wander around the country side, stopping to smell the wildflowers. Walk our tree lined streets admiring our historic homes, fountains and sculptures. Perhaps a romantic dinner overlooking the city park followed by live theater will set the mood. Top it all off by snuggling up together by the fire at one of our B&B’s, waking up to a home cooked breakfast, perhaps delivered to your guestroom.

Small town charm

Lose yourself in the hospitality of our small town where strangers not only smile at you, but will stop to chat. Enjoy a meal at one of our locally owned eateries where your server or chef will happily share what’s fun to do in the area. Our local shopkeepers are eager to help you find just the right memento of your time in Whitewater. Rent a bike to make sure you can really experience all our town has to offer.

Explore your creative side

Whitewater’s galleries, shops and university offer a wide variety of creative outlets. The galleries have workshops and lessons. The university has camps. A local restaurant offers cooking classes. Winery has art projects with corks. Or just be inspired by wandering the parks, galleries, sculpture walk, live music and live theater.
