Known as “Wisconsin’s Front Porch,” Rock County has activities for outdoor enthusiasts, history buffs, art lovers and more. The Rock River is an important element in the county, giving the area character and providing endless opportunity for water recreation and enjoyment. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery from land can all be done with the Rock River. Rock County also has more than 250 miles of trails for biking, hiking, horseback riding and winter fun when the weather cools down. You can also catch a show at the Janesville Performing Arts Center, which provides a performance venue for a wide variety of music and art groups in the area. Don’t miss the Angel Museum at the St. Paul Catholic Church in Beloit. With over 11,000 angels on display including 600 African American angels donated by Oprah Winfrey, this is the world’s largest angel collection.
