Richland County lies in Wisconsin’s “Driftless Area” – the southwestern corner of the state that was untouched by the last great glacier 12,000 years ago. This gives the area disctinct character with picturesque rolling hills offering incredible landscapes. Anglers will love the fantastic trout streams and architect enthusiasts will enjoy the fact that Frank Lloyd Wright grew up in the area. To experience the fantastic scenery, check out the Pine River Trail, a 16-mile railbed trail that's popular with bikers in the summer and snowmobilers in winter. Also be sure to visit local cheese factories for fresh curds. And near Blue River in southern Richland County, tour Eagle Cave – the state’s largest onyx cave.
