Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations
Harley-Davidson Motor Company's 849,000 square-foot Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, is home of the "Big Twin." Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plants in York, Pennsylvania, and Kansas City, Missouri, for Touring, Softail,® Dyna® and Sportster® model families. Engines and transmissions are also produced for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. The Free Factory Tour offers a view of the assembly line and designated machining areas. The Steel Toe Tour package includes a ticket to the Harley-Davidson Museum®. A shuttle will take you from the Museum to the Pilgrim Road factory, where you’ll get an up-close-and-personal view of the assembly line, powder coat process, cold testing, and steel and aluminum machining.
Hours of Operation
Free tours offered Monday-Friday at regular intervals 9am-1:30pm. Tour last approximately 30 minutes. Guests must be 12 years of age or older. On Wednesdays and Fridays, Steel Toe Tours are offered in partnership with the Harley-Davidson Museum. These tours are available at 9:15 am and 12:30 pm, and begin at the Museum. Steel Toe Tours also available on Thursdays from June-September.
