House of Seven Gables

Baraboo's 1860 House of Seven Gables, in the Gothic Revival Style, is one of Wisconsin's Twenty Most Architecturally Significant Homes. It was likely inspired by Victorian Architect Alexander Jackson Davis and Author Andrew Jackson Downing. The home has been restored to its 1860-80 splendor with high quality period antiques including grandfather clocks and Flow Blue China. Seven Gables has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been cited by the Historic House Association of America and the by the Sauk County Historical Society for its unique architecture.
