Discover the story of the Grand Theater from its predecessor, the Grand Opera House (1899-1927) to the construction of the Grand in 1927, and through the years of transition from a vaudeville silent movie house (1928-1930) to a motion picture Theater (1931-1985) and then to a performing artsTheater after the 1986 renovation. The restored theater is now a performing arts center for the Wausau area.

Coming from the South Highway 51/I-39. Take exit 192, or exit for Hwy 52 East follow 52 East into town to the WausauCenter Mall. At light on 1st & Washington Str, JC Penney store on your right. Take a left onto 1st St & get in right lane for an immediate right on Jefferson St. East 2 blocks to 4th St. Parking available 1 1/2 blocks east in municipal lot on right or US Bank lot on left.
