Wildwood Park & Zoo
60-acre zoo established in 1937. Boasts a variety of animals and birds from North America and other countries. Key exhibits are the mountain lions, wolves, deer, bison, and sandhill cranes. New in 2015, the Zoo completed a $1.3 million state-of-the-art bear exhibit, which became home to twin Kodiak bear cubs Munsey & Boda," orphaned when their mother was illegally shot by a hunter in Alaska. The zoo also features Sensory Gardens which include a variety of flowering and non-flowering plants designed to encourage the visitor to experience the senses of sight, sound, smell, and touch in a unique and tranquil setting. Walking and bike trails provide another option for enjoying the zoo and surrounding park area. Each winter, from the day after Thanksgiving until December 31st, the park is magically transformed into "Rotary Winter Wonderland" with thousands of lights, animated displays, caroling, and more!
