In 1919 J Russell Wheeler, Farmers & Merchants Union Bank President, hired famed architect Louis Sullivan to build a "Jewel Box" of a bank. Many people marvel at the front of the bank as a step back in time, but going inside is even more impressive. This National Historic Landmark conducts tours and it's worth the trip! Feel free to visit this historic site any time during regular business hours. Take pictures, ask questions and enjoy a personal tour.
