The Historic Hudson Walking Tour begins at the arch of the orginal toll bridge across the river linking Hudson to Minnesota. Many of the buildings on Second Street were built between 1860 and 1880 and have been restored to their original grandeur. Third Street includes the "grand dames" of Hudson's historic homes including the historic Octagon House.
