There isn’t enough time in the world to list why families and friends love camping in Wisconsin. For some, a blazing fire, a cold beverage, and good company are all it takes for a memorable weekend under the stars. But the fun doesn’t have to stop there!

Campgrounds around Wisconsin are offering more unique activities and amenities than ever before. From scavenger hunts to giant inflatables, these action-packed campgrounds offer more than enough fun to keep you and the family coming back to make memories year after year.

Smokey Hollow CampgroundLodi

Tucked away near the quiet town of Lodi is a campground chock-full of outdoor adventure and activities. Whether you opt to pitch a tent or rent a cabin, you and the family will feel right at home surrounded by the tranquil forest. Smokey Hollow is centered around a gorgeous man-made lake, complete with a giant waterslide, water trampoline and an inflatable obstacle course. Even if you don’t care to get wet, the beautiful sandy beach makes for the perfect place to relax and take in the atmosphere.

Beyond the beach, Smokey Hollow also offers bike rentals, mini golf, volleyball courts, and even rides on a giant shopping cart. (Yes, you read that correctly!) With so many activities to choose from, you’ll have to keep coming back to try them all!

River Bend RV ResortWatertown

Some people may think that to have a true camping experience, you must head up north. But fear not! You can find great camping all around Wisconsin, including the River Bend Resort. The family-oriented River Bend Resort is a local favorite, located in Watertown along the Craw Fish River. Kids will run straight for the pool once they see two giant waterslides waiting for them!

Once everyone dries off, try your luck at the 18-hole mini golf course or hit a bucket of balls at the driving range. Saturday nights mean live music at the pavilion, and when you’re ready to head out on the water, canoes are available for a leisurely paddle down the river. And don’t leave your furry friend at home! Dogs are welcome here, and their owners will love the fenced in dog run.
