Beef-A-Rama™
Round up your herd for a carnivorous celebration! Minocqua’s Beef-A-Rama™ promises mouthwatering aromas from grills, scrumptious beef sandwiches and a generous side of rib-tickling cow puns. Share and sample beefy snacks, admire the decorated vendor stalls and vote for your favorites. Get moving in the 5K or 10K Rump Roast Run along sparkling Lake Minocqua – participants compete for cowbells and beef roasts, and kids can hoof it in the Calf Mile run.
Cranberry Fest
Celebrate Wisconsin’s state fruit at Cranberry Fest in nearby Eagle River. You’ll be amazed at all the different varieties of food and drink that feature this tart berry! Or choose from a large selection of berry-free treats. Don’t miss the cranberry marsh tour at Lake Nokomis Cranberries – discover how the red berries are harvested (reservations recommended). Or maybe you’re in the mood to shop? Choose from the arts and crafts fair, farmers’ market, bake sale and antique/vintage market. Don’t forget to take home berries to enjoy later – their flavor will take you right back to this day.
Colorama
The Colorama festival, 20 miles east of Minocqua in St. Germain, has a little of everything that’s fun about fall. Start the kids off with pumpkin painting, then leave their creations to dry while you explore the rest of the fest. Graze your way through a farmers’ market full of autumn goodies, then pick the perfect fall flowers at the “Mum’s the Word” sale. Find jewelry and décor at the craft sale, then grab lunch from the St. Germain Northwoods Lions Club. After you enjoy your meal, check out wild wheels at the Fall Cruisin’ Car and Truck Show and vote for your favorites!
SepTimber Ride
Imagine pedaling through the beautiful Northwoods with friends just as the leaves are beginning to turn. On the SepTimber Ride, enjoy the scenery and the companionship as you explore one of three self-guided biking routes ranging from 28 to 60 miles out of Eagle River. Three Lakes Winery is the halfway point, and all routes end up back at Tribute Brewing Company where you’ll feast at the brat picnic provided for riders and share your favorite moments from the day.
