VISIT Milwaukee

Pack your mittens and your long underwear – when you see how much winter fun is waiting for you in Milwaukee, you won’t want to stay indoors! In addition to snowy hikes and sledding in the award-winning Milwaukee County Parks, several of Wisconsin’s premier ski hills and snow parks are just a short drive from downtown.

Wilmot Mountain

After completing a $13.5 million renovation for the 2016-2017 ski season; adding new lifts, a newly expanded terrain park and dedicated children’s ski and snowboard area; this longtime favorite snow sports destination has nearly 120 skiable acres, 23 trails, seven lifts, two surface conveyor lifts and progression terrain parks.

Slice of Ice at Red Arrow Park

Located in the heart of downtown, Red Arrow Park becomes home to the city’s premier outdoor skating rink during the winter. The refrigerated rink can comfortably accommodate 100 skaters, and the warming house (featuring Starbucks) is perfect for watching the action on the ice.

Sunburst Winter Sports Park

Home to the world’s largest tubing park! You’ll hit speeds of 40mph on one of over 45 tubing lanes – no gear or experience necessary. Skiers and snowboarders can check out three terrain parks with regularly changed set-ups.

The Rock Snow Park

Check out a gnarly terrain park experience for snowboarders and skiers each year. This park offers a variety of special features you won’t find anywhere else and hosts competitions as well. Bring the family for super-fast tubing fun on custom-designed tubes during the day, then come back for adults-only tubing on Friday and Saturday nights with unlimited snow tubing and domestic tap beers.

The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva

Popular for golfers in the summer, the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa turns into a family-friendly ski destination when the snow starts to fall. Ski and snowboard on more than 30 acres of downhill runs and check out the new terrain park. Or take to the trail and explore the resort on cross-country skis or snowshoes.
